Fees

As compared to the usual “50 minute” counselling session, at my New Westminster office, I provide a full 90 minute session.   My experience with clients proves that a 90 minute time frame allows for deeper work where new skills can be practiced and all voices can be fully heard.

Payment Methods

Individual Counselling: 90 minutes $185.00

Couples Counselling:    90 minutes $195.00

  • Cash
  • personal cheques
  • Interac E-transfer via your email address
  • Credit Card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express

I require payment at the end of each session. I will provide an official receipt with my Registered Clinical Counsellor’s number.

Health Plans

This receipt may be remitted to some insurance companies for reimbursement. I recommend calling your plan provider to ensure coverage and any annual dollar limits, as it has been my experience that the print material provided to plan members is often incomplete. You may be able to report counselling fees on your tax return. Please check with your accountant.

Reports & Letters

The fees for written reports and letters is charged according to the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors fee guide

Cancellations/missed appointments

I require full 24 hour notification of cancellation of appointments. Notification of less than 24 hours is deemed a $50.00 charge. No advance notice of cancellation is charged the full session fee. Consideration will be given for extra ordinary circumstances. Please call ahead if you cannot keep your appointment so that space can be offered to someone else.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed and all written records and notes regarding counselling sessions are completely confidential except there are 3 important exclusions: Child welfare concerns Imminent self harm or danger to others Subpoena or court order
